Meet our design team:
Jody Wallace - Owner

Jody has always loved everything to do with designing and decorating homes, from laying out the floor plans to picking colors, fabrics and furniture styles. She has been working in design for over 20 years.

Before moving to Portland in 2010, Jody lived all over the country, moving from southern California to the gulf coast of Florida, to the suburbs of Chicago.  Along the way, Jody has gained a wealth of experience, working with some very talented people and taking in new ideas from different regions across the country.

Jody has worked in the furniture and décor industry for over a decade. Her work in design started back in Ohio, where she helped homeowners work with contractors to design their ideal living space. She also worked as an interior design consultant, advising customers on color schemes, fabrics, and décor choices.  Her experience spans from starter homes to large, custom homes as well as industrial offices.


Jody loves working with people and has run a variety of service-related businesses, including beauty consultant, wedding coordinator, and birthday party services.  In 2007, she was selected for the top customer service award from among over 300 franchise owners.  She loves creating and designing, but most importantly, she enjoys helping people and making customers happy.

Rebecca Denis - Lead Designer

Rebecca was introduced to interior design at an early age.  With a father as a contractor and a mother as an interior designer, she was immersed into the design world from the beginning.


Graduating with honors, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California-Orange County. Rebecca immediately began her career as a designer, focusing on the commercial side.  After three years working as a personal interior designer in Newport Beach, California, Rebecca and her husband decided to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest.


Rebecca has been with Greylyn Wayne since January 2019 as the lead designer. Using various design software from AutoCAD to SketchUp Pro, she is known for creating an overall design vision that blends functionality while curating spaces that keep her customer’s style in clear focus.  Her years of diverse design experience ranging from

new construction, residential and corporate remodels, has led her to develop exceptional artistic and creative abilities.

Dea Hartz - Staging Manager

Dea brings years of real estate experience to the Greylyn Wayne team.  After working as a Listing Manager for a prominent realtor in Portland, where her focus was preparing homes for the market from start to finish until the home was successfully under contract, she really understands the importance of staging.  Now with Greylyn Wayne, Dea enjoys adding personality to a home so potential homebuyers can envision their future within the walls. 


Her love for style and design goes all the way back to her childhood, when she spent time at estate sales and thrifting with her mom.  And her years of playing Division 1 soccer helped build her love for working with teams.  Today, teaming and building relationships is her favorite part of the job.

When she’s not at work, Dea enjoys spending time near water, hanging out in backyards or on a nice patio with her friends in backyards, road trips and camping.  She currently resides in Southeast Portland with her hilarious husband, her extremely spoiled pup, Noodles, and their two neurotic kittens, Ron and Pretzel.

Jessica Patino - Accounts Manager

Jessica has been working with the GLW team since the very beginning. After years of staging, she now handles all scheduling, quotes, billing and runs point on our customer service.


She earned a BS degree with honors in Accounting from Southern Oregon University where she was also an SOU Raiders cheerleader and dance team member.

When she's not helping our customers or taking their money, she loves working out and hanging out with her sweet baby June, her husband Joey and her silly dog Dak.

She is has an eclectic style with a Bohemian flare. She loves blending different patterns and textures and can never pass up an opportunity to add a pop of color to a job.

Lauren Bubion - Lead Staging Assistant

Lauren is originally from Newport Beach, CA, but she’s been a Portlander since 2015.   After spending 6 years helping animals as a Veterinary Technician, Lauren switched to a career in staging and design and we are glad she did!  Starting as a Visual Merchandiser for a boutique in Urbanite, she worked her way up to a Jr. Design position for two home furnishing stores in the Portland area.  With that valuable experience in retail, Lauren has decided to focus on staging.  She loves to bring personality to any space with color, texture and plants and her personal style is bohemian.  Lauren is always keeping up with new trends of design, which makes her a great addition to our team!  

Lauren is a world traveler and she has visited over 10 different countries.  When she’s not traveling the world, she resides in the SW neighborhood with her small dog Otis and 30 house plants.

Her free time is spent snowboarding, antique shopping, hiking, and picnicking.

Makayla Bajema -Staging Assistant

Makayla grew up in sunny Southern California, before coming to Oregon to attend Multnomah University, where she majored in Global Studies, with an emphasis on children at risk.  


After realizing college wasn’t the right fit at that time, she moved on to work in retail and eventually found a love for visual merchandising.  That’s what led her to the world of Staging and Interior Design and, ultimately, Greylyn Wayne.  And we’re glad she found us!  


Makayla’s smile and terrific attitude fit in very well with our team.  When she’s not staging beautiful homes, Makayla loves to paint, draw and create her own music.

Catherine Higgins -Staging Assistant

Catherine is a recent graduate of George Fox University with a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration and her artistic background helps us create beautiful stagings. 


Always a team player, Catherine enjoys the family-like culture at Greylyn Wayne and loves getting to work with her best friend, Makayla.  She also loves getting the chance to explore new parts of the Portland area, since she hails from all the way out in Newberg.  


On the weekends, Catherine volunteers as a youth leader for her church, does side projects as a freelance graphic designer, and spends time with her Holland Lop bunnies, Willow and Olive.

Miguel Olmedo - Moving Specialist

Miguel attended St. Helens high school where he was a three sport athlete, competing in track, football and wrestling. And he was pretty good at wrestling. State Heavyweight Champ. Just sayin. He got a little tired of pinning people to the mat, so he decided to conquer staging.

Greylyn Wayne recruited Miguel because of his amazing customer service from his family restaurant in Portland. He is a people person with a big personality and he fits in great with our culture and team.


When Miguel is not moving furniture or hanging art at Greylyn Wayne, he likes to spend time with his friends checking out the local restaurants or wrestling at a practice meet.

Mason Brickey - Lead Moving Specialist

Mason joined the Greylyn Wayne team in 2018.  He grew up in the High Deserts of Eastern Oregon, before he moved to the beautiful Portland area.  


Mason is the muscle.  He moves furniture, hangs art, and helps our stagers create masterpieces.  When he’s not working Mason enjoys playing with his dog, going to the gym (crazy, right?), and just being in the company of friendly people doing exciting things.

Ken Shepard - Moving Specialist

Ken was born and raised in Kenya and moved to Oregon when he was still a kid.  After he graduated from Glencoe High School, he dove into Culinary arts and worked for various restaurants in the Portland area. 


He joined Greylyn Wayne because he thought our team was really cool and he liked the work.  He quickly became an integral part of our team with his easy personality and his big smile. 


When he’s not killin it with Greylyn Wayne, Ken loves sports, cars and making music.  His biggest passion is music and he records in his home studio.  Some day Ken will hit it big in music.  Until then, we are thrilled to have him on our team.
